Bengaluru: The State High Court on Thursday April 29 declined to permit trade unions to carry out a procession from the City Railway Station to Freedom Park, and Town Hall to Freedom Park on May Day in the City.

A division bench comprising Justice R. Devdas and Justice K. S.nHemalekha passed the order, while hearing applications filed by All India Trade Union Congress and others. Court bench observed that no permission can be granted considering traffic inconvenience to the public.

Earlier, the March 3, 2022 ruling, the court had directed that no activity which disrupts traffic shall be permitted to be carried out, and in case of any such activity, appropriate action should be taken and the responsibility should be fixed on agencies meant for providing proper traffic regulations.
