Bengaluru: After the 17 rebel MLAs of Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition were disqualified by the former speaker Ramesh Kumar on Sunday, July 28 and 14 Congress MLAs out of them being expelled from the party, JDS Supremo HD Devegowda, on Wednesday decided to oust remaining three MLAs who were attached to the JDS.

The three expelled MLAs are A H Vishwanath, Narayana Gowda and Gopalaiah.

It can be recalled that around 13 coalition MLAs had tendered their resignation to former speaker Ramesh Kumar in his office at Vidhana Soudha on July 6, following which four more had submitted their resignations.

After going through the decisions taken by various state assemblies as well as the Parliament, former Speaker Ramesh Kumar disqualified three MLAs on July 25 and the rest on July 28, as per the 10th Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

The decision of the MLAs to tender resignation toppled the coalition government and brought the BJP to power.
