HDK inaugurates land-building blueprint approval software

Bengaluru: For the first time in the country, an online portal has been launched to approve building licenses and blueprints, in Karnataka.

After inaugurating the Urban Development Department’s Land-building Blueprint Approval Software-website at the Vidhana Soudha Conference Hall, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said, “Approval of a building’s blueprint is an utmost necessity for urban development. Considering the fact that inorder to get an approval, people have to pay visit various departments concerned, which is very frustrating, an online approval software has been introduced.”

“It is a matter of pride that this technology has been launched for the first time in the country in Karnataka,” HDK added.

“The software has been launched for the online approval of land utilisation, building plan and many others. A total number of 14 licenses, including approval for layouts, land conversion etc., can be obtained from the department’s website. The Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) will also be included in the software in future,” said CM Kumaraswamy.

HDK, on the occasion, stated that the Suburban Rail Project will soon be started in the city. He also stated that a new law would be implemented for PGs and Home Stays, to ensure safety of the paying guests.

Minister for Urban Development and Housing U T Khader, Mayor Gangambike Mallikarjun and Urban Development Authority officials were present.
