Bengaluru: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said on Friday May 27 that anyone in need of home-based enrolment services for the specially-abled, senior persons, or those lacking biometric information can contact its Bengaluru office or the Karnataka government’s centre for e-governance.
A statement issued on Friday said, “Home-based enrolment facility is provided only for the bedridden, senior citizens unable to move around, and for physically and mentally challenged residents.”
It further read, “In order to ensure no resident is denied of any benefit such as pension, ration, etc. that they are entitled to, the UIDAI frequently conducts Aadhar enrolment and update camps at various shelter homes, old-age homes, orphanages, etc. For home enrolment, people can contact 080-44554499 (centre for e-governance); 080-22340104 (UIDAI RO, Bengaluru).
