Bengaluru: IAS officer Pallavi Akurati has lodged a complaint with the health department against a private hospital alleging that she was forced to opt for a C-section.
In her complaint sent to the district health officer Shrinivas, she pointed out that in this particular hospital, instead of normal delivery, all the pregnant are forced to opt for C-section. Adding to this, no scanning was done at the time of C-section. In the name of Phototherapy, the patients are exploited, she said.
“Rs. 3,000 is charged in the name of Phototherapy per day. If an IAS officer faces this kind of problem what is the condition of the poor patients?,” she questioned in her letter.
According to the sources, Pallavi Akurati delivered a baby in the month of July.
