Bengaluru: Incidents of harassment against women air travelers have seen an increase in recent times, and a similar occurrence has taken place again.
An individual traveling on an IndiGo flight from Jaipur to Bengaluru was apprehended for allegedly behaving inappropriately with the crew while under the influence of alcohol, despite receiving multiple warnings, as stated by the police on Monday.
A 32-year-old passenger was turned over to the police at Kempegowda International Airport upon the plane’s landing on November 17. “The arrest was made following a complaint filed by IndiGo. Subsequently, he was released on bail,” mentioned a senior official. IndiGo, in a statement, noted that individuals aboard flight 6E 556 were intoxicated and displayed inappropriate behavior towards the crew, despite multiple warnings.
