Jaffar Sharief laid to rest after last respects at KPCC office

Bengaluru: The last rites of the former union railway minister Jaffer Sharief was performed, here on Monday, November 26.

Jaffer Sharief passed away yesterday at around noon.

His mortal remains were kept at the KPCC office located at Vasanthnagar to pay the last respects.

Hundreds of the Congress party workers had gathered to bid adieu to their leader.

The body was taken to Masjid E Khadira for public prayers and later buried in Khuddus Saheb Cemetery situated at Nandidurga road in the city.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G Parameshwar, chief secretaries of AICC K C Venugopal, B K Hariprasad, KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister U T Khader, Janta Dal (S) State President H Vishwanath and other leaders from the coalition were present.
