Bengaluru: It looks like the JDS’ first family in the state i.e. H D Devegowda’s family, is now forcing the Congress party, its alliance partner, to follow the almanac very strictly.
On Sunday, the arrival of AICC president Rahul Gandhi was delayed by two hours at the JDS-Congress rally. If sources in the Congress are to be believed, former prime minister H D Devegowda was the reason behind this delay.
As per the panchangam, on Sunday, the ‘Rahu Kala’ was between 4.30 PM and 6 PM. HDD and his son PWD minister H D Revanna wanted RaGa to arrive at the rally venue only after 6 PM to ensure that the rally will be a grand success. Under pressure from the Gowda family, RaGa arrived at 6.07 PM.
“Devegowda arrived at 6.05 PM. RaGa arrived at 6.07 PM. The JDS leaders sent a message to RaGa’s managers about this,” said a Congress leader.
“The Congress was known as the party that doesn’t believe in all this. But the JDS is forcing our leaders to follow all these,” he added.
