Bengaluru: Bommanahalli MLA Satish Reddy, on Sunday, March 31, created a new controversy in the BJP circles by seeking votes for party candidate Tejaswi Surya in the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha constituency without mentioning his name. He instead requested the party high command to ensure a respectable position for Tejaswini Ananthkumar at the Central Government level.
Addressing a party rally in Bommanahalli, in which party state president B S Yeddyurappa was present, Satish Reddy stated that the people needed to vote for the BJP to re-elect Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of India. “Modi and Yeddyurappa are our leaders. We need to ensure their victory,” he said.
Recalling his association with the deceased leader Ananth Kumar, he stated that he is still not able to come out of the vacuum of his death.
Interestingly, former DCM R Ashok didn’t attend this rally, making it clear that he is not happy with Tejaswi Surya’s selection as the party’s candidate.
