Karnataka Police Busts Unaccounted Rs 8 Crore Cash Haul in Hollalkere

Bengaluru: In a recent operation, Karnataka Police intercepted a Toyota Innova in the Hollalkere area, seizing an impressive Rs 8 crore in unaccounted cash stashed in bags within the vehicle. Acting on intelligence input regarding the suspicious movement of a car with a significant amount of cash, the authorities swiftly pulled over the vehicle for inspection.

The car’s occupants, identified as Sachin from Tekalvatti and Harish from Jankonda, are suspected of transporting the cash to Shivmogga for Suresh, the owner of Malnad Traders engaged in Areca Nut trading. Preliminary estimates put the seized cash at Rs 8 crore.

The vehicle has been taken to the police station for a thorough investigation. The police plan to take further action based on legal guidance as they delve into the circumstances surrounding this substantial amount of unaccounted cash.”
