Bengaluru: It looks like the efforts made by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) to bring actors, Arjun Sarja and Shruthi Hariharan, to a compromise has failed as the two actors stuck to their positions on the matter.
Sarja is also reported to have filed a defamation case against the actress, claiming damages of Rs 5 crore. The actor’s manager is also said to have filed a complaint with the cybercrime division against actress Shruthi.
Speaking to reporters after the talks with the KFCC, Sarja maintained that he is innocent and that the case filed by him will reveal the real people behind the allegations. He said that he is hopeful that the right people will face punishment for their wrongs.
His accuser, Shruthi told reporters that she would wait for the KFCC’s final decision before taking any legal action. Aware that there are two separate cases against her, Shruthi said that she was glad that Sarja has taken the matter to the court.
Ambareesh, who was among the people present at the meeting, told reporters that the KFCC was disappointed that they could not close the issue and reconcile the actors. He also informed that the KFC was in the process of forming the proposed Internal Complaints Committee.
