Bengaluru: The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has requested Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and BBMP Mayor Gangambike to rename Bangalore’s Race Course Road, to ‘Ambareesh Road’ in memory of veteran actor and politician MH Ambareesh.
It is said that the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a meeting and decided to put forth this request considering the contributions made by the actor to the field of film and politics. The race course road stretches from Ananda Rao Circle to Chalukya Circle.
The demand of the Chamber of Commerce is in sync with the hope of the Ambareesh fans and film folks, who too feel that this must be done in honour of Ambareesh and his love for races.
The actor-turned-politician died on November 24 owing to cardiac arrest.
