Bengaluru: In a big embarrassment to the JDS leaders including CM HD Kumaraswamy, Kolar city JDS MLA K Shrinivasa Gowda announced his support to BJP Lok Sabha candidate Muniswamy in the Kolara Lok Sabha constituency.
In Kolar, former union minister KH Muniyappa is contesting as the Congress candidate and seeking 8th straight victory.
It can be recalled that speaker KR Ramesh Kumar, who is also from this constituency already stated that he will not support his own party LS candidate.
Shrinivasa Gowda, who had convened JDS activists’ meeting at his residence in the city alleged that Muniyappa is blocking all the developmental projects in the district and his goal is to defeat him.
