Bengaluru: KPCC president D K Shivakumar has urged the state government to order an investigation into the suicide of N S Ashok Kumar, former Professor of the Bangalore University.
Ashok Kumar committed suicide at his residence in the city on Monday, leaving behind a suicide note saying no one is responsible for his act.
However, DKShi has made a startling revelation that the professor had taken a loan of Rs 2 cr to pay a bribe to get the Vice-Chancellor’s post.
“Poor professor took a loan of Rs.2 crores from money-lenders to pay for VC’s posts. However, he didn’t get the post. This may be the reason for his suicide,” DKShi alleged, adding that certain people in the government may be responsible for his suicide.
“Only a judicial investigation can reveal the truth,” he said.
