Bengaluru: The third entrance to the Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station was opened to public on Saturday, June 29. Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi along with Member of Parliament P C Mohan and Mayor Gangambike Mallikarjun inaugurated the event.

The third entrance will open the way between Railway and Metro stations, facilitating easy movement for the passengers. Earlier, with only two entrances to the railway station and lakhs of passengers coming here, there were inconveniences in issuing tickets, parking etc. A pedestrian overpass is also built connecting Railway and Metro stations.

Responding to MP P C Mohan’s request to shift the container depot and goods shed from Whitefield outside the city, Suresh Angadi assured that it would soon be done. Angadi also asked the railway officials to look into the sewage spill from trains when they cross the road over bridges and fixed a deadline of 1 month to sort out the issue.
