Mysuru: The Public Works Department (PWD) Minister H D Revanna has criticised the officials of Tamil Nadu for visiting Karnataka, assessing the water inflow and going back without even informing the State Water Secretary.
Speaking to media here on Saturday, June 29, he said that the TN officials had visited the dams of Karnataka and gathered details on every aspect related to water release and inflow. He said that they had done everything without even intimating the state water department secretary.
He said, “The situation is such even if a single drop of water is released from our end, we will face trouble.”
“Our dams have gone dry. I just visited the Hemavathi Dam and there is enough water only for 15 days”, he added.
However, Revanna was harsh with the mediapersons when they further questioned him on water crisis.
He said, “I am just a road minister and not water. Anything related to road, you ask me. Don’t ask me anything which is not related to my portfolio.”
