Bengaluru: The BJP Karnataka unit questioned former chief minister Siddaramaiah on the state of the government exchequer on Friday, October 4, after his comments against Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
In a tweet posted from the official handle of the BJP’s state unit, the party further said, “This situation has arisen after five years of Congress governance followed by one-year of coalition governance.”
The party was responding to Siddaramaiah’s earlier remarks that criticised CM BSY for accepting bankruptcy and urged him to resign for his handling of the flood crisis in the state.
He said, “After accepting that your govt has gone bankrupt, you have no moral right to stay in power even for a single minute. Please resign and leave the office immediately. Don’t punish our people.”
