Bengaluru: Three leopards, including two cubs, were found dead in the Hallere Village of the Nanjanagudu taluk on Monday, September 9. The leopards are suspected to have been being poisoned by miscreants.
According to Forest Department officials, the animal carcasses had no injuries and were found near the Hallere Government Hospital.
While the mother leopard is said to have been five years old, the two cubs were nearly six months old. Sources said that the animals appeared to have died on Saturday, September 7.
The Forest Department has launched an investigation into the matter after a post-mortem revealed the cause of death.
