Lokayukta launches statewide raids across Karnataka

Bengaluru: On Monday morning, the Lokayukta initiated synchronized raids spanning various regions of Karnataka, focusing on the residences of officials from 17 distinct state departments. These operations were carried out concurrently in multiple districts, including Chitradurga, Hassan, and Bengaluru.

In Chitradurga, the Lokayukta conducted a raid on October 30, targeting the residences of two officials. Led by Lokayukta SP Vasudevaram, a team executed the operation at the homes of ACF Nagendra Naik from the Forest Department and Assistant Director Krishnamurthy from the Social Welfare Department in Hiriyur, Chitradurga.

In Hassan, Lokayukta officials raided both the residence and office of KPTCL junior engineer H E Narayana. Furthermore, they conducted searches at the homes and workplaces of two forest department officials in Haveri, specifically RFO Parameshappa Peralanavar and Nyamathi RFO Malatesh.

Additionally, Lokayukta officials carried out raids at two separate locations in Kalaburagi, targeting the residences of Bidar Range Forest Officer Basavaraj Dange and KBJNL EE Thippanna Annadani from Devadurga in their extensive operation.
