Lokayukta probes Mother & Child electrocution tragedy

Bengaluru: The Lokayukta has initiated a case on its own accord concerning the electrocution-related deaths of a mother and her child in Kadugodi, Bengaluru.

The Lokayukta has served notices to seven officials, including the Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department and the Managing Director of BESCOM at K.R. Circle. Justice B. S. Shailaja, Lokayukta, has requested a comprehensive report on the case within a two-week timeframe, as per Patil’s directive.

Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, K.R. Circle, Managing Director, BESCOM, Chief Engineer, Bescom North Division, Superintending Engineer, BESCOM East Circle, Executive Engineer, Whitefield Division, Assistant Executive Engineer, Whitefield Bescom Sub-Division and Assistant Engineer of Hope Farm Signal Whitefield have been booked under Section 7(1)(b) of Karnataka Lokayukta Act and Mall Administration 2(1)(b) of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act.
