Bengaluru: Mahesh Joshi has almost certainly been selected as the new President of Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP). An official announcement in this regard is yet to happen.
Election for the post along with District units was held on Sunday November 21.
Joshi secured 51,169 votes while his nearest rival Shekhara Gowda Mali Patil secured 17,656 votes so far.
Election Officer G. M. Gangadharaswamy, will make the official announcement on November 24 after counting the postal ballots which consists approximately 4000 votes and thus a mere formality.
Joshi has served the Doordarshan at various capacities till his retirement recently.
