Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary N Ravikumar accused that Kalaburgi Lok Sabha constituency Congress candidate Mallikarjun Kharge of spending Rs 100 Crore for the election campaign, here on Monday, April 22.
Speaking to media, he said that Kharge was using illegal means to campaign because he was frightened of being defeated.
He said, “This time it will not be a cake walk for Kharge as he will lose the elections with a margin of 1 lakh votes.”
Ravikumar also alleged that Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Shashikumar had been helping Kharge in his campaign in Kalaburgi.
He said, “Shashikumar had taken two days off from his duty and was working secretly in favour of Mallikarjun Kharge. Sub inspectors of Chittapur and Kamalapur were acting like Congress agents.”
He said that he would file a complaint with the Election Commission about this.
Meanwhile, he has called Kharge the most corrupt politician.
He said, “Kharge has asked if he has done any harm to the BJP party workers. He has not done anything to our party workers but has definitely done injustice to the people of the state.”
“The Justice A G Sadashiva Committee’s recommendations to the government on reservations for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) has not been implemented yet. He has received commission on the construction of all the government-owned buildings”, he alleged.
