Bengaluru: A man employed at a private firm, has filed a complaint against e-commerce giant Flipkart, after he purchased a gold coin online but, received an empty box.
According to the complainant Amit Kumar Garg, a resident of Basavanagar near HAL, he had placed an order for a 20 gm gold coin on Flipkart and made an online payment of Rs 61,755, on December 8. The parcel was delivered to Garg on December 28 by PVC Logistics. Garg opened the parcel in front of the delivery boy only to find that it was empty.
When he questioned the delivery boy, he was instructed to contact the Flipkart helpline. Garg submitted CCTV footage and payment proof to Flipkart and he was assured that the complaint would be verified. When he did not receive a positive response from the company, he approached the HAL police and filed a complaint against both Flipkart and PVC Logistics.
The police, on the other hand, have said that they would investigate the matter and take action against those responsible.
