Bengaluru: The Rajarajeshwarinagar police have asked four students to appear for inquiry following the suicidal death of collegian Meghna few days ago.

Meghna (18), studying in the 2nd semester civil engineering at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering in Kumarswamy Layout, had committed suicide in her apartment.

Police have collected the CCTV/video footage related to the altercation between Meghna and her collegians in the college premises. They have forwarded the same to forensic science lab.

The parents in their complaints, had alleged that ragging by a section of college students during elections had forced their daughter to take the extreme step.

Based on the preliminary investigations, police have asked four students to appear for inquiry. Police have recorded Meghna’s statements too and are inquiring from that angle. Suitable action will be taken after further investigation, confirmed police sources.
