Bengaluru: According to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL), work on the metro line to Bengaluru International Airport will commence in three months, the contract for which has been given to the Hyderabad-based NCC Ltd.
According to the sources, this project aims to build a 38.44-kilometre elevated route from KR Puram to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), known as the ‘Namma Metro Blue Line.’
The deadline has been set for December 2024 by the BMRCL. The Blue Line Phase 2B contract was awarded for Rs. 2,200 crore. This line, together with the Outer Ring Road Line, has been approved by the Union Cabinet at a cost of Rs. 14,788 crore
