Bengaluru: V. Somanna Minister of Housing department of Karnataka and district in-charge minister of Kodagu has distributed food kits to 30,000 people here in Govindraj Nagar constituency.
Amid the Covid pandemic, financially distressed, poor families have distributed food kits containing 10 kg of rice, pulses, wheat flour, salt, sugar, and soaps.
Covid warriors, Police Department officers, doctors, nurses, ASHA activists, civilians, and disabled people were provided free groceries.
After the distribution of food kits, the minister said, “We are building health centers and high-tech hospitals in our constituency. We will start the vaccination drive soon. Public health is our priority.”
Mandal president, Vishwanath Gowda, local BBMP members Mohan Kumar, Vaghesh, Dasegowda, Shridhar, Umashankar, and others were present.
