Bengaluru: Since his disappearance on January 21, 12-year-old Parinav, a Deens Academy student from the Gunjur Branch in Bengaluru, had managed to stay one step ahead of the police. After leaving his coaching centre in Whitefield and not returning home, he eluded authorities even when they tracked him through CCTV footage, always managing to move to a different location.
The police’s pursuit hit a dead-end at the Majestic bus station, a central hub in Bengaluru connecting the city to various corners of the state.
However, the situation took a positive turn when a Bengaluru resident, currently in Hyderabad, recognized a boy resembling Parinav from widely circulated pictures. The woman saw him on the same metro and confronted him. To the relief of his family, friends, and everyone involved in the search, the boy confirmed his identity and was detained at Nampally metro station in Hyderabad.
Sukesh, Parinav’s father, expressed gratitude to the nameless strangers who played a crucial role in finding his son. While the family is uncertain about the details of how Parinav ended up in Hyderabad, they are rushing to the city to pick him up. Sukesh acknowledged the impact of sharing Parinav’s pictures widely, emphasizing that without the extensive coverage, the woman in Hyderabad might not have thought to intervene and ask the boy about his identity.
Parinav, a class 6 student, has been handed over to Nampally railway authorities. His mother, who had previously posted a video urging him to return home, has now posted another video expressing heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the successful resolution of this incident.
