Bengaluru: Munish Moudgil is back as the Commissioner for Survey, Settlement and Land Records. The state government re-instated him nearly a week after he was transferred out of the department under pressure from the public.

It all started with the state government moving Moudgil out of the department and appointing him as the Director General of the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Mysuru. It was alleged that he was transferred on the behest of the real estate lobby.

Now under due to pressure from the public, his transfer has been revoked. An order in this regard was issued by the state government on Friday, September 20 night.
