Bengaluru: The NEET-UG results announced on Wednesday had some great news for Karnataka. D R Phanindra from Hassan topped the state in the NEET -UG conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NEET UG score card is used for the admission to the medical and dental courses across the country and the NEET UG score card is also mandatory for the admission to the Ayur courses in Karnataka. In total, 64,982 students have been able to clear the examination from Karnataka.
State topper Phanindra secured an All India Ranking of 36. He is followed by P Mahesh Anand of Bengaluru who secured 43rd rank. Prajna Mitra secured 20th rank in the girls’ section. This year the NTA published the list of girl achievers separately.
All the three toppers informed that they are waiting for AIIMS admission test results as their first choice is All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Talking about his success, state topper Phanindra said that he is still away from social media and smarthones. “Disciplined study is my success sutra,” he stated.
A total of 1,02,735 students had appeared for the NEET from Karnataka this year.
