Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has imposed a stay order on the legal proceedings of the Ramanagar Sessions Court on Thursday, December 12, in connection with the ‘Godman’ Nithyananda Swamy’s sexual abuse case.
It can be recalled that Lenin Karuppan, a former disciple of Nithyananda, had moved the High Court seeking a transfer of the case from the Ramanagar Sessions Court to another court in Bengaluru.
During the hearing of the transfer petition, Justice G Narendra of the High Court issued a notice to the state government regarding the Godman’s failure to appear for the hearing.
The HC then ordered the Registrar to produce all the documents related to the case from the Ramanagar Sessions Court before the High Court.
