Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has expressed confidence that his son Nikhil Kumarasawamy will be victorious in the upcoming LS polls.
Speaking to the media personals on Sunday, March 24, he said, “The people of all taluks in Mandya have voted for me in the previous election and I am confident they will not let down my son. Even though many have joined hands to defeat him, Mandya district would be made BJP-free,” said the chief minister.
When asked about the stone pelting on actor Darshan’s house, which happened during the wee hours of Saturday, Kumaraswamy said that there was no proof of the incident, as the CCTV cameras installed in Darshan’s house were not functioning at the time of the alleged incident.
“Miscreants pelting stones on Darshan’s residence has been projected in a filmi style and the incident is being misused for the elections”, he added.
“The Janata Dal (S) workers will work for the victory of Congress candidates in all the 20 constituencies in the state. Deve Gowda or I will not be disturbed by cunning and dishonest politics. I have the power of my party workers. I have already directed the party workers and leaders to refrain from personal attack on the opponents,” said Kumaraswamy.
