Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clerk barb against Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy received sharp criticism from the Congress state leaders. Former CM Siddaramaiah hit back at Modi stating he is the clerk of Sangh Parivar.
In a tweet, Siddaramaiah stated that Modi is the clerk of Sangha Parivar and used the clerk barb against H D Kumaraswamy based on his experience.
KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao also took a dig at PM Modi over his statement. “He is bringing down the standard of politics to historical low by his baseless, inhuman comments,” he stated.
DCM Dr G Parameshwara also asked the PM to stay away from making such comments. “The PM’s post has a reputation. Modi should not use it for political benefits,” he urged.
The PM had recently said that Kumaraswamy was working as a clerk in the coalition government.
However, HDK himself refuted this and said that he was amused to see how the PM was reacting to something that he never said.
“I am amused to see Modi reacting to a statement which I never made. After the farmer loan waiver scheme, this is the second time that he’s reacting to false information/statement. Such statements won’t deter our coalition government from the development agenda,” HDK tweeted.
