Bengaluru: The city police have arrested Nagaraj, a close aide of Kannada film star Darshan Thoogudeepa, along with actor Pradosh in connection with a murder case, sources revealed.
Nagaraj, who managed Darshan’s affairs and took care of his farmhouse in Mysuru, had been evading arrest since the police apprehended Darshan, actress Pavithra Gowda, and 11 others in connection with murder of Renukaswamy. The police have not disclosed Pradosh’s involvement in the murder.
The arrests stem from the murder of Renukaswamy from Chitradurga, who was allegedly killed on the night of June 8 after sending inappropriate messages to Pavithra Gowda, friend of actor Darshan. His body was disposed of in a stormwater drain near Kamakshipalya police station.
The crime came to light when a food delivery boy reported seeing dogs scavenging a man’s body, prompting police to investigate further.
