Pre-monsoon shower continues to wreak havoc in city

Bengaluru: City continued to witness an artificial flood following the evening showers. The eastern part of the city received heavy rainfall on Wednesday evening and night.

As the rain started around 5.30 pm, it created problems for those who were returning from their offices.

The traffic congestion was witnessed in east Bengaluru and Bannerghatta road was worst hit.

The situation was no different in BTM layout, Koramangala, Electronic city, MG road etc. Waterlogging was reported in many areas. The rain continued till late at night. The BBMP control room has been receiving several complaints.

The vehicle movement was disrupted in the Majestic area of the city due to the rainfall, but metro service was on helping the commuters to travel quickly.
