Bengaluru: Several organisations have extended their support to the police mass leave protest scheduled on June 4.

Karnataka Raitha Sangha, State Building Workers’ Association and others have extended their support for the strike called by police constabulary personnel and in a joint statement released by the organizations, they have urged government to meet all the legitimate demands placed by police personnel before the government.

The organisations have said that the move of the state government of imposing Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) on police personnel has failed to field results as the police have not withdrawn the leave applications.

As many as 50,000 constables of the state have applied for leave on June 4 citing harassment, meagre pay and various other demotivating work conditions as the reason.
