Ramanagara: Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Organisation Taluk President Suresh has lodged a complaint with the Food depyartment officials seeking action against the fair price shop owners of Budiguppe Village for cheating in the distribution of ration.

At the government fair price shop in Budiguppe Village on the outskirts of the City, they are cheating ration beneficiaries in the distribution of ration. The government has fixed 10 kgs of rice for distribution to each person with BPL ration card holders. However, instead of 10 kgs at the Budiguppe fair price shop, they distributed 8 kgs each, cheating the ration cardholders and illegally taking a bribe of Rs. 10 from the beneficiaries.

People are being duped every month without putting up any item board on what items are being distributed at the fair price shop. In his complaint, he has sought a proper investigation and legal disciplinary action against the fair price shop owners.
