Bengaluru: D V Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers and Statistics and Programme Implementation announced that he will contest from Bengaluru North constituency again in the upcoming election.
Speaking to the reporters in the city on Saturday evening, he stated that he is interested to contest from the same constituency. “But a final decision will be taken by the BJP high command,” he stated.
He also expressed confidence that his contribution to the constituency and the achievements of the Modi led union government will help him register an easy win. “I am confident of an easy victory,” he said and added that he will welcome JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda against him as the coalition candidate in the constituency. “I don’t bother about the name or the party. I will campaign showing my achievement,” he said.
It can be recalled that JDS circles are abuzz with the news that HD Deve Gowda may contest from Bengaluru North Lok Sabha constituency which is considered as the strong Vokkaliga bastion.
