Bengaluru: Thousands of villagers of Shamatabad village in Humnabad taluk of Bidar had a sleepless night on Saturday following an earthquake scare.
According to the locals, on Saturday night they experienced around six tremors in the village. Fearing that village may be stricken by an earthquake the villagers spent a whole night outside their houses.
According to the locals, since last one week they have been experiencing tremors in the village. However the tremors felt on Saturday night were severe forcing all the people including pregnant, lactating mothers, newborn kids to spend the night outside their houses.
But, the district geology department officers have clarified that no tremors have been recorded in the Richter scale.
