Bengaluru: The officials of Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) have claimed that they found the file, contained the revised selection list for Junior Engineers at the Slum Development Board which was missing for almost two months.
The officials had filed an FIR with the Vidhana Soudha Police as a crucial file vanished into a thin air. The missing file contained the revised selection list for Junior Engineers at the Slum Development Board.
The officials have informed the Vidhan Soudha police about the file and the police asked them to give a response in writing. The file found in the official itself, said the sources.
What is the story is all about?
In 2016, the KPSC held exams to recruit Junior Engineers. In 2018, it released an additional selection list, which was challenged by a person called H.D. Vivekananda. He challenged the list in the High Court, and the KPSC prepared list as per the order of the court.
This list was supposedly created by the KPSC’s confidential branch-3. Everything seemed to be on track until January 22nd, when the file containing the list arrived at the secretary’s special branch. After the file gone missing without a trace.
The KPSC issued a memo instructing all branches to return the file immediately if they found it. Staff searched heaps of files for a month, but filed trace it. Finally, the commission held a meeting and file an FIR. The Assistant Secretary had lodged a complaint with the Vidhana Soudha Police to investigate this bizarre case.
