He mentioned that no victim has met him so far as he has been busy with the election campaign. He added that the SIT would be led by a senior police officer and they would lead the investigation as they receive clues. The SIT will probe the viral video case comprehensively.

On Sunday morning, Congress party women workers staged a protest against Prajwal Revanna in front of the DGP office in Bengaluru. They raised slogans against the MP. The protesting workers were taken into custody and later released.

Speaking to reporters, former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy said that those who did wrong things would be punished. The SIT will probe the case; let them begin and find out who was involved in it.

A special investigation team has been constituted to probe the incident of sex videos that were circulated in Hassan district just a week before the Lok Sabha election.

The SIT team will be led by ADGP Bijay Kumar Singh, it will be having three SP level officers and three DCPs, the SIT would probe the criminal case filed by a victim at the Hole Narasipura Town police station against Prajwal, said sources.

According to sources, the Chief Minister’s office has issued an order forming an SIT based on the letter written by Karnataka State Commission for Women to the chief minister.

The Commission has asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to set up a special investigation team (SIT) to probe sex videos – some of them involving force or no consent – that are being circulated in Hassan district.

The Commission also wrote to DGP Alok Mohan asking to conduct an investigation by a special team. The Commission Chief Dr. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary in both letters has sought action against persons who filmed all the sexual acts as well as those who made them public.

Dr. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary has said that influential politicians might be involved in it, seeking sexual favors from women besides raping some of them. Ahead of the Hassan Lok Sabha election which held on Friday, several explicit videos have gone viral.
