Bengaluru: A video of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra Siddaramaiah publicly addressing his father with a “hello appa” has gained traction on social media. Opposition parties are using the video to criticize the government, while former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy describes it as a money-for-posting business.
As Yathindra’s video circulated widely on social media, a significant gathering took place at the CM’s residence. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called Yathindra to his official residence, Cauvery, and engaged in discussions with his son. Siddaramaiah reportedly questioned Yathindra, asking why he spoke publicly. He inquired about the reasons for addressing the media, especially when it pertained to constituency workers.
On Monday, DK Shivakumar, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, made an unannounced visit to the CM’s residence following the viral video of Yathindra Siddaramaiah. Currently, the matter has ignited widespread discussion in state politics.
