New Delhi/ Bengaluru: Former chief minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah, who is in New Delhi to attend the Congress Working Committee meeting, met with Congress Supremo Rahul Gandhi and discussed the political developments in the state.
Reports said that, in the meeting which lasted for about half an hour, both leaders discussed the proposals for filling vacant cabinet posts in the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition government and other posts such as chairmen for boards and corporations.
This meeting comes in the backdrop of several regional leaders complaining to the Congress party high-command about the possibility of the party losing support base in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections due to the alliance with the JD(S) in the state.
Siddaramaiah is also the chairman of the co-ordination committee of the coalition government in the state. He briefed Rahul about the political developments in the state after the formation of the coalition government.
