Bengaluru: After days of waiting, the SSLC results are finally out. Education minister Kimmane Rathnakar announcing the results here on May 16, said that this year Bengaluru rural has topped the SSLC exams followed by Udupi and Mangaluru.
Rathnakar briefed media after announcing SSLC results and said, “Students from rural areas have fared better than those from urban areas. Bengaluru Rural tops the SSLC exams in terms of pass percentage with 89.63%. Udupi stands second with 89.52% while Mangaluru is third with 88.01%. Urban students have fared poorer than rural students with 77.63% pass percentage. Rural students have higher pass percentage of 80.36%.”
“This year Udupi stands second while Mangaluru is third. Students have fared well in SSLC as compared to last few years,” he added.
“Ballari stands last in terms of SSLC results for the current academic year. The pass percentage for this year is 79.16 which is 2% lower than last year.”
He added, “Three government schools recorded dismal performance with zero percent results. Even this year girls have fared better than boys. Girls pass percentage stands at 82.64%. 1, 03,313 students have scored A as opposed to 77,478 students last year. Around 40,000 students have scored A+. 79.16 per cent of students have passed this year.”
Ranjan from Bhadravathi Poornaprajna school has scored cent percent (625/625).
The results will be displayed at schools by 10am tomorrow. The names of the toppers will also be known tomorrow.
