Bengaluru: As many as 416 people tested positive for COVID-29 and nine people succumbed taking the state’s tally to 8697 and death toll to 132.
Of the nine deaths, three are from Bengaluru Urban, two from Bidar, and one each from Davanagere, Chikkamagaluru, Udupi, and “Others”.

Of the 13 people who tested positive for COVID-19 in the Dakshina Kannada district, four recently returned from Saudi Arabia, seven returned from Sharjah, and two have been diagnosed with influenza-like illness (the bulletin does not specify any contact or travel history). Of the 13 patients, seven are men and six are women.
As many as 181 patients were discharged today, bringing the total number of discharges to 5391. There are a total of 3170 active COVID-19 cases in the state and there are 74 patients in the ICU. Additionally, four patients died of non-COVID causes.
