Subramanya: An 81-year-old man, who was allegedly abused by his children and in laws, was found near the Subramanya temple in Bengaluru eight days ago after fleeing from his home in Katriguppe in Bengaluru was later seen in the premises of Kukke Subramanya, a famous temple in the state, locals alleged social workers took the old man under their custody with the help of the police.
The old man is identified as Bhaktavatsala, when asked more details about him, the elderly man alleged that he had served Indian army for three years from 1965 to 1968, but had drop the work in halfway because of family, after quitting Indian army the elderly man also alleges that he worked in several companies to feed the family, Bhaktavatsala has two sons, who are already married, the elder son is a priest while the younger son works as a driver, “I have signed my entire property in their names, yet they with their wives treat me unjustly” said Bhaktavatsala.
The locals who first saw him wandering in the premises the entire day, intimated to Subramanya police station immediately, taking the issue into consideration the station officer Manjunath called the family members of the elderly man, asking them to take him back home, but Bhaktavatsala chose to stay in the temple instead of going back fearing his daughter in law would be abusive again.
“I will stay here, just give me some meal along with other devotees, if not then it will not bother me.” said Bhaktavatsala to the people over there.
