Summons served to those who fell in IT net

Bengaluru: Income tax officials have served summons to close associates of politicians, on whom raids were conducted directing them to be personally present for the investigation.

IT department is fighting an undeclared war against the illegal money holders in the state and it has already investigated few associates of political leaders. Now, the investigation officers have served summons to those who were undergone raid in last one week.

Sources said that they have found undeclared money worth several crores in 11 raids on contractors in Bengaluru and Mysuru. The IT department is likely to conduct few more raids on those with political links. During the raid on Congress leader Anand Singh’s resort in Badami recently, few important documents were found and based on that IT officials are all set to conduct few more raids.

According to the sources, Minister Vinay Kulkarni’s associate Prashanth Kekare’s assets may be under scanner of the IT officials. The officials are checking if there are any undeclared assets without any proper documents.
