Bengaluru: Tamed elephant Ashoka, which went missing on November 26 from the Kabini backwater area, while engaged in the tiger capturing operation in Ankanathapura village of the HD Kote taluk is still untraceable.

The forest department authorities had brought Ashoka from the Mattigod elephant camp to help them capture the tiger, but at the time of the operation, it went missing with the chain.

“The search operation is on with the help of Abhimanyu and Krishna elephants,” said officers.
