Bengaluru: With audio tape recording of an alleged conversation between BJP Stare Chief BS Yeddyurappa and JDS MLA from Gurumitkal Naganagouda’s son Sharangouda rocking the house during the ongoing Assembly Session, Speaker Ramesh Kumar directed CM HD Kumaraswamy to form a special investigation team and submit a report within 15 days.
The state politics is facing a chaotic situation ever since the Congress-JDS coalition government came into existence throwing away the BJP.
The coalition partners have been claiming that the BJP has been trying to lure its MLAs in a desperate bid to topple the government and recently, the CM released the tape to prove the point.
Meanwhile, BSY, in a way accepting the allegations said that the tape tampered and only parts of the conversation were compiled to send across a very different message to the public.
The assembly session is witnessing a furore over the tape issue. After a discussion and debate, Ramesh Kumar announced the SIT investigation. CM HD Kumaraswamy has said that the SIT will be formed by evening and is believed to have held a meeting with senior officials of the state with regard to the formation of the team.
Meanwhile, the BJP has gone into defensive mode and has opposed the decision to constitute a Special Investigation Team and have been insisting for a judicial probe, but the Speaker has rejected this demand.
The BJP members have said that they have no faith in the state government and hence would want a judicial probe.
