Bengaluru: A study carried out by Thyrocare Technologies revealed that the Peenya Dasarahalli area in the city has highest COVID-19 positive rates in the state with 44%. It stands second highest in the country after Bhiwandi in Thane, Maharashtra.
Vidyanagar in the Ballari district recorded lowest rate of positive cases with just 0.9 per cent.
According to the information revealed by Thyrocare, it relied on the ELISA and CILA tests, which are approved by the ICMR.
Peenya Dasarahalli is known as the city’s industrial cluster and a large number of migrants live in this area. After the lockdown, a majority of the industrial units are functioning.
The report also points out the popular perception that a huge portion of the country’s population already has been infected with COVID-19.
