Tragic Multi-Vehicle Collision Claims Bengaluru Woman’s Life

In a heartbreaking incident on Tuesday morning, a 28-year-old woman lost her life in a multi-vehicle collision on 100 Feet Road in Vishweshwaraiah Layout, western Bengaluru. The victim, identified as Monika S, was a receptionist at a motorcycle showroom in Papareddy Palya and lived about seven kilometers from her workplace in Sonnenahalli.

According to police reports, Monika collided with a BMTC electric bus near Ullal Lake, which was heading towards Kengeri Satellite Town. The force of the impact caused her to fall in front of a car that subsequently dragged her over 50 feet, resulting in fatal injuries. Although she was wearing a helmet, it came off during the accident, leading to severe head and torso trauma. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she was pronounced dead on arrival.

The incident, which occurred around 9:50 AM, has left motorists frustrated as one lane was closed for pipeline work, forcing two-way traffic. Authorities have filed a case against the bus and car drivers under sections 279 and 304A of the Indian Penal Code for rash driving and causing death by negligence.
